More on AIs and How They Affect our Daily Lives - Part 2

Welcome to our Friday edition of our journey to the unknown where I will be bringing you the part 2 of our episode on Artificial Intelligence and how they are and will be affecting our daily lives. So far, we have already discovered that we interact with AIs every single day through our smart phones. Then AIs who will basically run the flying cars of the future. Today we will discover more of their roles in our lives. Let's take a look.

Talking about cars, hitting the streets now are the self driving cars. Of course, you will still be there for legal reasons but imagine the convenience of having those long drives without you having to drive yourself? Because the AI will do it for you! Exciting, isn't it? Don't worry, they know exactly what they are doing because all of these cars, mostly produced by TESLA, are connected and the things that your car learns is shared all across. That means, if you had to take an unanticipated hard-left on a cross-road, all the Tesla cars will know how to maneuver that turn after they are updated. There are already more than 50,000 Tesla cars running in the US alone and that number is set to increase exponentially .

Then there are online ads. Did you know that without AIs, the online ad industry will just fail as it would show random ads to users with no connection to their preferences whatsoever?

Because AIs not only track user statistics but also serve as ads based on those statistics? See the connection now? How many times do you see ads while browsing in social media or watching videos or streaming? Yup! Those are AIs doing it.

I'm pretty sure that at this point, you are already somehow convinced that AIs do indeed play a major role in our daily lives but if not yet, let's explore further. How about navigation and travel? Even if you are just using Google or Apple maps, or calling Uber, or booking your flight ticket, AIs are doing it for you. If you didn't know it yet, now's the time to accept it. Google and Apple are using AIs to make your travel experience a lot better for you.

Not convinced yet? Here's more. How many times have you received an email if you do some extra ordinary transactions on your bank account, let's say, withdrawing an unusually large amount? Yup! That's AI protecting your account for you and making sure that it was you. And if it's not you, what's your first instinct? To call the bank's customer service, right? If so, chances are, you might have spoken to an AI bot.

Oh there's just so much more to explore about AIs that I could go on and on but let's stop for now and explore other discoveries on Science and Technology that are probably still unknown to many next week as we continue with our journey.

If you like today's episode, please hit the heart button and drop me a word or two. Until next week. Have a great weekend ahead you awesome folks! Ciao'!
